Singing Opera drives my Soul.
In 1995 – 2005 Alec studied Music and Opera under the direction of Judith Turner and has completed AMEB Singing Examinations at the Conservatoire of Music Sydney.
In 2004- 2005 Alec studied German as a 1st foreign language at Acti Lingua Language school in Vienna Austria
In February 2006 Alec travelled to Italy where he studied his 2nd foreign Language at Dante Alighieri Language School in Rome.
Whilst in Rome Alec studied and performed Belcore in L Eslir D’ amore and Doctor Malatesta in” Don Pasquale” with the direction of vocal coach Italian Soprano Giuseppinna Dalle Molle and her husband Maestro Walter Cataldi at La Vetrina dell Opera. The libretto was studied with Professor Barnabei.
As an Operatic soloist Alec’s operatic roles include Bardolfo in Falstaff, Figaro in Le Nozze Di Figaro, Belcore in L Eslir D’amore, Doctor Malatesta in Don Pasquale and Papageno in Magic Flute.
His Operetta stage appearances include The Merry Widow, Die Fledermaus, Oklahoma, On the Town, Kismet,The Pirates of Penzance. The Lisbon Story
I have always been a diligent student who has made his own opportunities to learn from some great teachers such as an Italian Roman Maestro from the Metropolitan Opera(NY)Sir Walter Tassoni Cataldi and his Soprano Wife Guisepinna Dalle Molle, Mirella Freni, Judith Turner and my current teacher Arwel Terhane Morgan of Wales. My ove of Austrian Culture has led me to learn Traditonal Viennese Dancing and in retrospect I have danced in Viennese Palaces and Balls including the Kaiser Ball, Opera Ball, Elmayer Kranchen, Coffeemakers Ball, Craftsman Ball to name only a few. All of this wouldn’t be possible without my fabulous 1-1 super fantastic dance instructors at the Prestigious Elmayer Dancing School,Vienna.
To encompass these skills I have had to learn Languages in Italian, Austrian and German. It is really hard work and lots of fun.
I would really like it if my website helps to inspire all of you who are young or mature artists from which ever field you are studying or would like to study to ‘Go For It’ never look back and most importantly listen, learn and enjoy achieving your dreams.
I hope you are enjoying Bread & Opera
Kind regards
Alec
